TIFF Bell Lightbox Opening

The TIFF Bell Lightbox had an open day for media and the public. Called the Block Party, random people ran around in costume and homegrown rock stars like Fefe Dobson and Radio Radio took the stage. There was free coffee, the entire population of Toronto photographers were out in force, whilst volunteers in orange shirts handed out the first issue of 180ยบ, the official TIFF programme guide.

Who am I kidding? I'm a fan. A facility like the TIFF Bell Lightbox makes Toronto every bit much better. Already a big calendar event whenever September rolls around, the festival makes media people go crazy and you can occasionally spot George Clooney.

They used to be small stuff, but what began as a ten-day film festival has grown to embrace programming 365 days a year. TIFF offers screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops industry support and the chance to meet filmmakers from Canada and around the world. Be there. ~GBrydson
