Sweet Pete himself! |
The show was also very hands-on; it had a "Kid's Fun Zone" section where children could ride their bicycles around and play. It also had a large (and quite scary looking) half-pipe for those daredevil BMX bikers to test out their skills and show off to the large crowd; helmets were worn, of course!
One of our favourite pavilions was set up by Sweet Pete's (located at 1204 Bloor St. West). They had a separate "Women's Specific" section set-up which showcased bicycles designed for women. We thought this was different; it was definitely something we hadn't seen before. The staff from Sweet Pete's were very helpful and friendly, and Sweet Pete himself was in attendance; bonus!
Overall the International Bicycle Show was definitely a fun time for the whole family, and a wonderland for the many bike lovers of Toronto. If you missed out and really want to go, the show will be on for one more day (March 6th from 10am to 6pm). For more information on the show, check out Toronto International Bicycle Show's website.
