Treating Yourself Expo 2011

We love Toronto. This Canadian city is distinct in one big way: Tolerance. Hosting the 2nd Annual Treating Yourself Expo, it seems that the whole downtown is liberal-minded. The city puts on events such as the Pride March, Nuit Blanche, Caribbean Carnival and the Freedom Festival. This fine city embraces everyone, from artists to LGBT,  including the some 20 000 residents of Toronto who use medical marijuana. We took a reviewer with Fibromyalgia who was very pleased with the amount of real information regarding finding treatment.

The Treating Yourself Expo is filled with advocates such as L.E.A.P [Law Enforcement Against Prohibition] and the Toronto Compassion Centre. Well run and well attended, the expo featured many seminars including those by Dr Paul Hornby, information sessions and a Vapor Lounge. We spoke to many vendors who had exhaustive knowledge about their product and message.

There was a good vibe, with talkative people and a few Rastafarians upping the mood. It was a visual stimulus  with the extensive glasswork and artwork collections on display. There were tonnes of trippy posters, free magazines and a respectful attitude.

We look forward to seeing what they have in store for next year! It is a 'young' expo, but we think its a great place to get information, buy ingenious products and have a rocking good time.
