Blue King Brown made a long trip to wow loyal fans at The Garrison on Dundas - all the way from Melbourne, Australia! An urban roots band with a faithful following in Toronto and around the world, they came from Tofino most recently in their world tour.

Lead singer Natalie Pa'apa'a spoke to the crowd about the 5000 mile cross country trek boasting a huge smile. She is definitely the heart of the group with her soul and energy crackling through her body and lighting her vocals, thundering into her guitar and drum solos. The 8 piece band is a sweet concoction, a complex recipe of rhythm and melody. Each member has a distinct flavour and adds just that something necessary for the perfect texture.

The fans were extremely happy to see them there. We spoke to one who had seen them in Sydney. Hailing from the UK, this fan brought 6 people with him. Having such a global audience distinguishes the spirit of Blue King Brown. Natalie Pa'apa'a was kind enough to take pics with her fans before granting us an EXCLUSIVE interview at the end of the gig.

Blue King Brown's latest album, Worldwize Part 1 - North & South on August 20, 2010. They have opened for acts such as Carlos SantanaMichael Franti & SpearheadDamian MarleyThe John Butler TrioThe Cat EmpireSilverchairDispatch and Powderfinger. We hope to groove to them again soon.
