JUNO Week is a fun time for everyone in the Toronto entertainment scene. There are parties, schmooze fests and many media lines. Along with all of that, there is the eponymous velvet rope. We were down at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel to attend the VIP 40th Anniversary JUNO Nominees' Luncheon hosted by the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC). It was hosted by Multi-JUNO Award winner, Wes "Maestro" Williams. The guest list included Ontario JUNO nominees and the people behind the scenes, like their record labels, music publishers, artist managers and agents.

Here is a bunch of photos from the red carpet. We at TSR take pride that we got center spot that day.
The Cancer Bats! Arrrrhhhhhhhhh! |
Though it sounds like a total music snob fest, everyone, whether celebrity or media, seemed to enjoy the mutual company. There were no special VIP sections, everyone mingled freely and we even got to shake hands with peeps from The Broken Social Scene. The simplest way to tell if an event is a success is the rate at which people talk to one another. Much credit goes to the celebs. You don't have to, but it sure helps when you smile when you hit the red carpet. ~GBrydson
