Foundry is a collaborative month-long series of showcases dedicated to forward-thinking global talent in non-traditional spaces.
The first project of its kind in Toronto, they've integrated several concepts to create an immersive, multi-sensory experience for our city’s music lovers: the conversion of a unique location; thoughtful series based curation with international artists and local tastemakers; as well as experimentation with technology and music.
Kicking off yesterday, March 14th, at 99 Sudbury Street (a last minute venue change) the Foundry crowd was given a good taste of what the event was all about with performances by Four Tet, Anthony "Shake" Shakir, Gingy and Dj Colin on opening night.
Tonight we will have a chance to see performances by Purity Ring (Dj Set), Shigeto, Blue Hawaii (Dj Set), and a Dj set from Toronto's own Katie Stelmanis of Austra.
