Parts & Labour Catering Launch

Party food has a new benchmark. Parts & Labour has officially launched a new catering service that offers an eyeball-popping eclectic selection of food stations and canapĂ©s, lovingly served by Executive Chef Matty Matheson.

We were at The Hoxton for the launch, and swear we didn't just stand right next to the kitchen, whenst all glorious food came forth. Matty is an animal. There were savory chicken wings [with their tips! yesss!], wee fried dumplings and gorgeous raw-milk cheddar. The cold-cut station alone had half the crowd gorging before 7PM, while a 50-person line snaked out from their stir-fry noodle station.

Though the catering menu is distinct from what diners have come to expect at Parts & Labour, they will recognize Matty’s signature principles: using local ingredients, taking care in preparation and making approachable food that people crave. Matty, along with Catering Chef, Laura Matthews, and Catering Coordinator Tara Sachs are the team behind P&L Catering. It’s their own desire to eat good food, have a good time, and throw great parties that connects them to their audience.

Says Matty:
“Catering should be relatively easy, it doesn’t have to be fancy. We love to do big parties and help people have the best time they can.”

The P&L catering menu is akin to visiting an Asian friend over a long Canada Day weekend, with extended family and several grandmas in tow, pot lucking their dear hearts out, neigh a celery stalk in sight. Good times.
