800 people gathered for Pillow Fight 2012 at Yonge and Dundas Square this long weekend. The best commodity, a king-sized pillow or a sofa cushion, arsenal flew all across the square as a diverse group of people swung in unison at the countdown to 7PM.
The giant urban pillow fight experience; You're laughing hysterically the first 5 minutes, make your way into the center of the fight and give up seconds later with the wind knocked out of you. Of course, you're still smiling like an 8-year-old on a sugar high.

It was a well-mannered bunch of pajama-clad fighters, abiding by rules such as having only soft, feather-free pillows and sparing from the fight those unarmed or with cameras. We have to admit the temptation was great to have a go at photographers, who seemed to outnumber pillow-fighters 3 to 1.
