Filmmakers of all race, nationality, creed and gender are eligible to participate in TNFF. The festival will showcase feature length films, documentaries, animation, experimental, shorts and other genres. With one of it's offices based in Kathmandu, the festival encourages diversity in the overall content of its programme. TNFF celebrates the diverse languages of Nepal by encouraging films based on indigenous languages such as Limbu, Maithali, Gurung and Newari. TNFF also encourages representation of women filmmakers and filmmakers of marginalized communities.
