Occasionally there are perks from being a journalist, and privileged people are we when it involves Michael Ciufo. We were present for a backstage rehearsal leading up to his Friday-night performance at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. A 25-year old Tenor resident in Toronto, Michael is known for his stage presence, charisma and classically trained voice. Bashfully, we admit that he is also quite gorgeous. With a recently released sophomore album, Momento, in October 2011, Ciufo dabbles with both classical and popular songs, highlighting his vast range as a singer and interpretive artist. Through the grapevine, Michael has an eye on a role with acclaimed production Les Misérables. We can only guess what he will be up to next, but we suggest keeping an eye on this already rising star.
