The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro at Bloor West

The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro is finally open in Bloor West Village. Focused on locally-sourced produce, each WORKS Burger Bistro features 70 varieties of gourmet burgers along with their signature fresh cut fries, famed Tower-O-Rings, beer and more than 50 flavours of hand-made shakes. They do the simple pleasures of life, but taking it a few steps up.

We're talking highly customised burgers, with six different patty options; a classic gourmet beef patty,domestic elk, whole grilled chicken breast, turkey patty, veggie patty or the Portobello mushroom cap. Hand-pressed and 100 per cent Canadian Made from 100 per cent extra lean Canadian beef sourced from trusted local producers, their patties are fresh and never frozen.

Depending on who you're talking to, their fries and shakes have the potential to upstage the main act. Unlike other burger chains that sometimes fail in providing an all-round package of awesome, their fries are perfectly crispy, golden and well-seasoned,  Thick, creamy classic shakes with flavours such as Peanut Butter Chocolate are also a must-order. The last notable? Their award-winning Tower-O-Rings; giant, breaded, hot and crispy onion rings that come in generous portions enough to satisfy a table of 4.

Although the horn has been tooted, there is one last thing of mention. To mark the much-anticipated grand opening on Bloor Street, TheWORKS also served up FREE BURGERS with a “donate-what-you-want” policy, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Runnymede Healthcare Centre.

They have great food, are locally-run by owners Manny and Gary who live blocks away, support local farmers and give back to their community. Just go already.
